I figured it out. It was a stupid mistake. Don't set the set the SD card as primary storage in the phone. Set the SD card as primary storage in the djigo app. Works perfectly now.
Yup I've stripped the phone clean and Frozen all apps that slow it down. I'm using the SD card that came with the mavic. Still unusable lag. Perhaps I'll try a faster card. Works perfectly on internal storage. I'm sure there is a way, just need to figure it out
Another test with a fast card formated in the phone. If the SD card is set as storage, DJI requires the resources to also be on the SD card. This is with the app installed on the phones storage. Not as much lag, but still pretty noticable. Best bet for me is to skip the SD card altogether...
Just had my first flight and had huge lag from the phone.
Here is the fix. Make sure you are installing djigo4 AND the resources on the phones internal memory, then you can set an SD card as the default storage.
If the app and resources are stored on a removable SD card it will lag a ton.
Ok I'll take back my negative check marks on the chrome bloatware. I got frustrated when I downloaded chrome beta and it loaded with the att home page being preset. I haven't used skinned android in 5 years.
Just got it in the mail. Great deal for 50 bucks. I hate the way they have wrecked chrome by putting all the att bloatware over the chrome app. Weird. Also the screen needs a screen saver because it's 'grabby' my finger doesn't slide across the screen without sticking. But pretty good phone...
