1000meter working for you?

I was in the middle of nowhere and my Mavic3 still does not show any ability to go above the old 500m limit. Am I missing something?

I assume you meant more than 50km from the nearest airport?

Check your maps in the app for the nearest airport and a gray overlay. If there is any airport within 50km, you are still limited to 500m.

That was a typo. I’ve meant to say that it doesn’t work for me and I’m less than 50km from an airport.

Thanks for clarifying. That's the way it is supposed to work. Only if more than 50km from the nearest airport can you fly to 1000m, instead of 500m, above your launch point.

I played around and found that I could set my max altitude to 3000ft when my iPhone was connected to my Mav3 but if I disconnected it it would revert to only showing 1640ft as the max. I suspect on my most recent foray I was checking that setting before I even connected to my drone and hence did not see the option.
