I believe the answer given is a bit misleading.. My MA regularly records videos longer than 4 mins. I flew this morning and did a 8:44 and 6:21 video. Straight off the SD card, 1 file of 8mins and another file of 6 mins.
I suspect the limitation is the normal 4gb file structure limitation. And depending the resolution you are shooting in, 4 mins might equal the 4gb limit. The files above are in 1080p30.
