As a relatively new flyer, i have a question about the 400 foot rule if anyone knows. I have a group of trees on my property that are 150 ft high at their peak. Would the trees be considered structure that i can fly above an additional 400 feet or is the rule only for man made structure's?

Thanks in advance

Charles

AGL = Above Ground Level. So no, they are not structure.

You're welcome. Honestly, flying at 650 feet wouldn't give you good footage anyway. Another 40-50 feet above those trees will likely be the safest, legal and best footage.

Besides, That rule only applies to 107 certified pilots, last i checked. Recreational pilots aren't allowed to fly over 400ft in USA period.
