Hi,
Firstly, after waiting since October for my mavic it has finally arrived.I have had 6 flights so far all in beginner mode until, as I mentioned in a previous post I fully understand my abilities and the drones functions inside and out.
My first few flights have been flawless and I absolutely love it,it's a fantastic bit of kit.

So the couple of questions I have are :-

1-The controller seems to be working perfectly but the right stick moves back to centre slower than the left as though the socket is tighter.
Is this normal or cause for concern?.

2-I am a less than ametuer photographer and have only tried taking pics and vid in auto mode.Compared to my phantom 3 the results are quite a bit brighter.
Can you suggest a filter to aid this problem (I would like just 1 filter if possible) or could someone point me in the direction of some good settings.?

Thanks in advance
Cheers Scott

You have the patience of a saint. Congrats for waiting.

Both sticks should have similar movements, one shouldnt be harder to move than another. Was it like this since it was new? Is it possible some debris got into the bottom of the stick well and might be causing some resistance? Move the right stick around and see if you see anything at the bottom of the stick.

I recommend that anyone who owns a Mavic use at least a UV filter at all times to protect the OEM DJI camera lens in case of impact. If you had to go with 1 additional lens, it depends on what type of footage you are shooting. ND4 or ND8 might be a good starting point. Dont cheap out on the filters, get a good one especially if youre only going for 1 or 2.

Hi Thunder-drones,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes the stick has been like that straight out the box from new.when using it in flight I can't notice that it's harder to move.
I noticed accidentally. The right stick just doesn't spring back to centre as fast.
Cheers Scott

The good news is that it does spring back to center, the bad news is that theres really nothing you can do to fix it without opening it up which might void your warranty.

The controller will tend to stay the same way it's entire life, if the sticks are tight, they wont loosen up, if they are loose they wont tighten or get any looser. The early models had removable sticks, the later models dont.

You might try calibrating the controller to make sure the drone flies well, and thats about all the advice I can give you. If it gets really annoying to you, you can contact DJI and see if they can send you a replacement controller, but they might ask you to send the whole package in and that could take weeks.

Yeah it's something I think you might be best off just living with, but if you brought it somewhere you can get a quick exchange I'd probably do that, but if it's a case of sending it to DJI I'd probably just put up with it if it doesn't affect function

Ok,thanks guys,
As it doesn't cause any real issue when flying I will stick with it.I just wanted to verify It wasn't a major issue.
Thanks again

I'm new to the drone world and have flown about 5 times. But my videos recordings are stopping and starting when I play them back. The camera isn't stopping but my playback is. I have an iPhone minipad 4 that is new and I've watched every youtube video to set all of my parameters so what am I doing wrong?

Im going to create a new thread in the Mavic Pro Help forum for you. You will get more exposure to help that way instead of adding on to this thread.

Good- I'm too new to this forum stuff to know what I'm doing. Thanks for the help.
