My drone fell in water and after rescuing it and drying it completely, it had 2 issues
1. Battery charging couldn't be done in the drone. When connected to the charger the charging lights would blink normally but after 2 minutes, they just stop completely and the battery wouldn't be charged.
2. The signal connection between remote and drone started experiencing issues. The signal strength as shown on the remote would be perfect if the remote wasplaced next to the drone. However, as soon as the remote is taken 1-2 meters away, the signal strength would drop drastically and the remote would completely lose connection.
I thought of upgrading to the latest firmware thinking it might fix the issue.
I recently updated my DJI Mini 3 Pro firmware from v01.00.0700 to v01.00.0900 and after the update these many errors started coming (image attached). Now I can't downgrade to the previous version to check whether it was a firmware issue or something else. Is there any method to downgrade the firmware (I have tried with dronehacks as well but it shows that anti rollback value is 6, hence cannot downgrade)

You may find that most of the original issues were a legacy from the drone getting dunked in water. No matter how dry you think the drone is: there will usually be pockets of moisture within. Normally the only way to dry a drone out is to strip it down and clean all boards, components and contacts with iso alcohol.

Upgrading the firmware won't address issues like these, as you found out, the only outcome is to lock you into a new firmware where you haven't a chance of reversing the process.

Serious suggestion? First: contact DJI and tell them what's happened, it may result in a repair ticket being opened. If this isn't an option: try opening the drone up and deep cleaning all electronic components inside (isopropanol alcohol and a cotton Q-Tip). At this point you don't have anything left to lose.

As mentioned above, firmware updates are not a fix-all, more along the lines of what some would term as a placebo effect. Water and any electrical components are not a good mix. What you have now is not a trustworthy aircraft.
Sorry for your loss. Be safe!

I must agree with the other posts your drone needs a deep clean and dry and I would not be surprised if one of the components has died. Take the suggestions above or purchase a new Drone thats really all you can do. There is no way to defeat rollback and your problems are not firmware related.

Good Chance the Sensors are burned out, they have no tolerance to the water, but you could still mange to fly without them until the Update , seems after that i they programmed the drone to not fly at all with any kind of sensor issue as I saw this on the Air 3 Update as well.

You've mentioned a problem with sensors on the Mini 3 several times, and I understand that you have a failure. Was that after immersing the drone in water? There don't seem to be many (any?) other reports of issues with sensors "burning out."

Thank you so much for the quick and prompt reply. I had already teared it down and cleaned the motherboard and all contact points with Iso alcohol. But after cleaning the drone, I was experiencing the above mentioned 2 issues. But the aircraft did not have other issues which would stop it from flying. It did start up, propellers started moving. But then I updated the firmware and just after the update, tons of issues came.. with some like drone parts missing, sensor error etc. Could this be the firmware only or the motherboard has gone bad?

What errors do you get? list the numbers here.

These are the errors that are coming. I have also attached a picture of the same in the initial post for reference.

Sounds to me that you should send it to DJI for repair.

In out Testing :

The mini 3 and Mini 4 were the worst drones to be submerged underwater because of how fast the Sensors were compromised as we show when flying the drone in the Rain for only 30 Seconds.

After the Update, the Sensor Error stops the drone from being able to fly. this was the same on the Air 3
Likely you're going to need a new main Board.

Is there any other evidence of a moisture vulnerability problem with the sensors in those two models? I'm still not aware of any. Anyone else?

It may be that the firmware upgrade just compounded the problem. During the stripdown cleaning/drying process: did you disconnect all micro connectors and the RF transmit/receive cables? Both of these connector types are mainly gaps with small contact areas for electrical connection... plenty of room in both RF/data cable and motherboard connector rebates to act as moisture traps.

If this was salt water, it's toast. If fresh water, DJI might be able to tear it down and fix it. Likely a replacement is in your future.
