Hello friends...
Unfortunately there is not much new to report from my side.
Although hardly any time was available, I tried to follow all your little and great stories, which gave me a lot of pleasure
@Porky ...
I especially liked this last church photo that you edited with LR. The picture looks a bit like your church is part of a large model landscape, which I think is really cool
You wrote that you wanted to fly, but it was too windy. Here, the weather is slowly as it is expected from spring, but at night we sometimes still have frost. Rain and strong winds had accompanied us for some time, and a dense cloud cover was always present. Now there is more sun and less clouds, but mostly too much wind for relaxed flying. A few days ago the weather looked very promising and I prepared all my gear for a short trip. I left the house in the early afternoon with eight full batteries, and made a two-hour trip, but unfortunately with no chance to lift the Mavic. I have learned from it, and now rely more on UAV forecast. Of course, UAV Forecast had warned me in advance of unfavorable flight conditions, but I hoped it would be better weather soon. For me, it almost seems like there are more reasons not to fly than to risk a few flights ...
@Chip ...
Great pictures you have made. Now you may have discovered the photographer in you. But surely you filmed the turning maneuver of the big cargo ship with the tugs, did not you? Oh, I really hope you make this
Moverio test for us.
I still do not know if I will buy
M2P or
M2Z. And now I see these very interesting Epson glasses, which unfortunately only have HD resolution. As a wearer of glasses, I have some concern about the wearing comfort of these
Moverio glasses, but at least they seem to be very light. There is a lot of homework for me to do before I make a choice
Incidentally, I have to buy a new filter set for my M1P. Unfortunately, my previous set has proved to be cheap garbage that can only be set up after the gimbal calibration. Glasses have fallen out of their frames, and the frames are very delicate. A filter frame is already broken, and an ND32 filter has uneven brightness. Well, the new filter set is not more expensive, and has an interesting holding mechanism. I am very curious to see if it meets my low expectations.
@Charlie ...
Your story in three parts was very interesting for me, although I have to admit to having some things (Muki-Muk) maybe not understood correctly. It is certainly very nice to meet someone who has the same hobby. Talk about the hobby and then fly together ... are there more beautiful events than that?
You also wrote that you are after updates, suddenly in a class B airspace. I do not know exactly when it happened to me, but after some update it was like that. Now I get in my close environment with each start of DJI GO a warning notice that I am in a warning zone. I can hide this warning, but it is pointed out that in this zone to unexpected problems with the Mavic can come. Alternatively, I can request an activation, but I wonder if it could be temporary or permanent?
Anyway, and now maybe it's time for you to call the
Mavic 2 your new own

Or maybe there is first of all this
Moverio glass from Epson? This kind of glasses is probably the only allowed visual device for us hobby pilots in Germany. I have also seen some videos about this
Moverio. Well, the
DJI goggles could not convince me anyway, and when used in DE a second person to monitor the airspace is mandatory.
@old man mavic ...
Unfortunately, I have almost no idea about F1, because I can not say anything. Nevertheless, it is sometimes nice for me to watch some race.
I hope you could find a few opportunities to fly a few batteries again, and soon have some pictures for us from your beautiful location.
So, that was it for the time being from my side. I hope we will find more interesting topics here, and can keep this thread running for a very long time
