Hi there

I (Swiss citizen) plan to travel from Darwin to Broome in Australia and will take my Mavic Air with me, just as a tourist, not commercial. So visiting NT (Darwin down to Kathrine) and WA (Gibb river road).

Any advice what regulations I need to check and where to fly legally?

I have read the CASA page:
Can I fly there? - Drone safety app

Also I know the app 'can I fly there'

Feedback much appreciated

Cheers

So long as you dodge the airforce bases (Darwin Tindal etc) you should be right just about anywhere. Remember the 400 ft rule and the 30m from people.

Thanks bushie, will check on them. Guess national parks are a no fly zone as well all over in Australia?

You are ok with parks up north. As far as I know, at this stage it is only The southern states that are applying the nfz in parks. Simple rules up there, stick to the “can I fly there” app and stay under 400ft and you should be fine
