Battery mod thread

Anybody knows the + and - pins from bird battery connection? I’m gonna make a clip for test with dual battery. Do you think MM can fly with extra 100gr?

Interesting, it seems dji only charges their batteries to 4v per cell equalling 8volts and only discharges it to 3.5volts per cell equalling 7volts.

These batteries can be charged to 4.2volts per cell and discharged to 2.5volts per cell. I wonder why they're being so conservative....
It's a method used by Tesla and other manufactures wanting to extend the lifetime of LithiumIon cells.

Tesla may do this but DJI dont, they're more than happy to sell you a new overpriced battery.
The 2400mAh variants are LiIon 18650's and I see them charged to 8.3v or 4.15v/cell. They seem to discharge to about 3.2-3.3v/cell on a regular flight (20% landing).
The 1100mAh Japanese variants are regular LiHV cells charged to 8.7v or 4.35v/cell

After, I’ve tried to change stock Samsung cells with Sony (ones), like Androsean does on YouTube. My bms (never updated) doen’t switch’s on. Is there any way to fix? I’ve tried conecting Samsung stock cells again, but all keeps the same: no switch on. I’ve seen, when I connect the miniusb to dron to chargue, Leds do like normal charging, but slower. When I unplug the usb, is not possible to switch on the dron. Any idea?

Put battery in mini and plug it into micro USB .. let it try to charge for about 20 seconds and see if it works
