The deep, quiet valley of Beatty Creek is one of the few wild valleys home to big trees and diverse, natural legacy forest left in the Capitol Hills. Here can be found a vibrant, native ecosystem largely untouched in over a century, with large remnant old growth trees that stood watch over the landscape long before Europeans set foot in the Pacific Northwest. Sadly, this beautiful forest is in imminent danger, as the Washington Department of Natural Resources (WA DNR) has put most of the irreplaceable forest here on the chopping block. The Smuggler and Oracle timber sales should be canceled, and the forest granted the permanent protection it deserves.

Let the DNR, Commissioner Hilary Franz, and our elected representatives know that our legacy forests must be protected:

Hilary Franz
Comissioner of Public Lands

Angus Brodie
Deputy Supervisor for State Uplands

DNR South Puget Sound Region

Regarding the video itself, the aerial shots were filmed with the DJI Mavic 3, and the shots on the ground were filmed with the Nikon Z9 + Nikkor Z 14-24 f2.8.

Can’t believe they want to repeat the mistakes of the past. Sad..and stupid. American Greed alive and well.

Great video mate. What is it with people and destroying everything in the world including ourselves. Ask them to cut their legs and arms off and see if their bodies can cope without it and how long they will survive without it. The more forests we destroy the more crap we making for ourselves, no oxygen more global warming and more bad weather conditions we cause. "Humans the superior and smarter race" dumb as snake fodder on the seabed if you ask me. We know how to destroy everything on our planet and the universe for that matter. Maybe we should be learning from the animals as they know way more than we do or will ever know. You don't see them killing everything in their path or destroying their own habitats so no one has a place to live and be able to breathe good clean air have good clean water to drink. If there's no forests to help clean up all of our crap we won't exist for much longer. Oh and by the way mining the moon for the minerals we don't have here on earth REALLY WHAT A GREAT IDEA, wonder where we think we're going to live if we destroyed that too. CLEVER MANKIND.
