SCUBA, photography, flying little airplanes, and holding onto a naive belief that I might be an at-least-average golfer and tennis player again one day. If I had more money I’d love to get into car racing. A good friend was on a team run by a major car company and I’ve always thought that’d be fun (to be fun I’d only do it if an instructor told me I was good at it. I have no interest in dying anytime soon).
Hi Dave. from Suffolk UK. Aged 67. I have just bought my first motorbike since I had scooters as a Mod back in the sixties. (An English thing, Google it). Now I need to take my test to be able to get my dream, Harley Davidson. Another Hobby is woodturning. And Making rope fenders for Narrowboat.(Also an English thing. Google it). Oh and must not forger...My new Drone.
Dave.
Got child, guns been in the cabinet awhile! Now it’s building stuff for him! Then using drone to take some of the pics! And fishing... temptation to combine drone is rising...
Some great hobbies listed so far by all!
Blessed to live in the Jackson Hole Wyoming area after being retired from a National Laboratory in Livermore California 18 years ago. My wife and I enjoy the outdoors doing lots of ATV/UTV riding all summer. From May thru September I also volunteer as part of the Jackson Police Department's Citizens Mounted Unit to assist the PD with pedestrian/traffic control and most importantly as ambassadors of our Western Heritage to answer questions and pose for photos with the millions of tourists who come thru our area on their way to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. When not riding Mounted Patrol I also enjoy photography and use Nature's spendor to document memories that will last until my last days. I've just started flying my DJI Mavic Pro and am looking forward to develop skills in cinematography and photo taking from many different areas around Wyoming. Hope I didn't break any rules by posting 7 photos to show some of my non-drone flying hobbies. Happy and Safe Trails to all.

Nice! Interesting in the US the ability of citizens to be involved with police - here in Australia you’re either police, or not. Even our forensic people have to be sworn officers to the Crown (we’re commonwealth so still allegiance to UK). Next step down is straight to security work or a private detective - we don’t have sheriffs etc. Nice horse and gear, by the way, love the heritage!

HUGE rain on the east coast the past few days have extinguished most of the worst fires, let's hope the forecast rest of week rains will totally finish them.
Our recent fires on Kangaroo Island off the South Australian coast just a few weeks ago were put to rest with rain late last month, the bush is amazing in its recovery speed . . .
Cirrus SR20......... Nice ride. Our old vet who used to take care of our horses had one and used it to fly between his home in Palm Springs and here in Western Wyoming.
I fly fixed wing RC airplanes at least twice a week.
Love off roading, fishing, shooting, and camping.
Still active in photography and astrophotography/astronomy. Not really great at photography but shoot the calendar pics for one of the flying clubs I belong to.
I still ride my Harley but short rides these days due to my back.

Nice. Must say I like the desert. Kinda ‘pure’. Great sense of isolation, at least here in Australia. Also cool how stuff is preserved, like old gold mining equipment and vehicles, buildings. Also nice when it’s hot but not humid!
Interesting the common hobbies many have! It would be interesting to run a poll! Lots of hands on-hobbies, and a distinct lack of PC - mostly on the internet you say you like, for example guns, and some tool bags you out for it! But also here, lots of tolerance too. Sure we have our differences but we’re a tolerant bunch it seems!
Actually it's the helix neb (NGC 7293) but yeah they do almost mirror each other when looking at a CCD shot . Took it on top of Glacier Point in Yosemite using my Televue NP-101. I have several scopes but the 7" Meade LX-200 Maksutov is my favorite medium sized visual scope, and I use a Takahashi FSQ-106 as a lens for my CCD cameras. No dobs (yet) but got a chance to look through a 22" dob off a 8 foot ladder up on Glacier Point and all I could say was wow.

I spend my extra time repairing the drones I have crashed ?
In honesty, I enjoy still photography, and travelling....I take long cycle trips as long as the circumstances will bear, but that can be very short in Vietnam. I own a BMW GS1150 here in Ho Chi Minh City, a BMW GS1200 in Arlington, Virginia, and a 1982 BMW R80RTin Orlando, Florida.....plus a 2003 100th anniversary HD Fat Boy.
I am also a "gun guy".....and own most short and long guns, from .22 to 50cal, along with a few C3 NFA registered guns. Long live my AWC Amphibian.
