Very new to Drones, never even flown one before.
Enjoy seeing aerial photography and thought about getting a rig to fly on own of my kites, but the versatility of a drone won the day.

Bought a Mavic Pro Platinum fly more combo online that came Friday

Haven’t flown it yet due to combination of work, weather, and despite 5 emails to shop about a DOA battery, I’m reluctant to use until issue is sorted.

Sorted now, sending that back and they’ll send me a new one.

There was another reason for not using, and that was didn’t think I’d be able to carry everything in supplied shoulder bag without scratching the drone etc up.
Hard case came an hour ago [emoji106]

Just spotted your initial post. In case you're interested the Leicester Drone Club meets at the Gate Hangs Well pub in Syston just north of Leicester on the Fosse Way from a 3 acre field adjacent to the pub's garden near the River Wreake with permission to overfly close by fields and a number of small lakes where small sailing vessels practice and don't mind us overflying them. Parking is available as are drinks, toilet facilities, tables and seating to set up one's drone or sit down for a rest. No annual fees, just £2 per session on Sundays from 3 pm to 5 pm. Meals available at the pub if one gets hungry! Check out the club on Google for further info' and avail yourself of members' experience to help you become a better pilot, I did just that about a month ago and am glad I did!

Yeah been meaning to come over, but been knocked for 6 with a kidney infection for last 4 weeks.

Sorry to hear you've been out of commission. Hopefully you'll improve as will the weather and be like it was last Sunday-absolutely beautiful! Either way you'll be most welcome whenever you can get up to Syston.
