Correctly said. As of June 2025 their unbinding policy is no more. Wish i could've bought it like in April or May but it didnt drop out of pawn until August.

I'm just wondering why a pawnshop would buy a drone that was already bound and why would they buy so many that way knowing they are either stolen, found, or someone got taken when they bought it and now need to get rid of it? Does the pawnshop fully disclose this when they re-sell the bound drone or do they wait for the customer to come back and complain? I think there is a law covering this because the same thing happens with computers and phones except for those, the buyer is going to know pretty much right away he doesn't have a password. I think this is why DJI changed their process, the market for bound drones was getting out of control when there's no way to make sure the request is legit or not; tired of looking at receipts and/or bills of sale.

First, I was talking about ownership. If the pawn or other shop is legitimate they may have a receipt from the original owner, which in this case would be and honest trail back to the owner, failing that I agree with you.

Regarding binding, I bought a second hand pro4 mini that wasn't bound, so I was able to bind it and register it to me, so there are cases if your lucky.
