Hi there,

How is generally California's stance towards drones?

Besides NFZs etc, what are the chances of flying a M2 in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego?

Just asking to calculate bags to pack for a trip in October.

Thanks

If you are just passing through, use Airmap or similar to see if there are any restrictions where you want to fly. Avoid National Parks and State Parks. Everywhere else, if Airmap is clear, and there are few people around, then find a parking lot, launch, go vertical to < 400 feet, get some great photos, land, and move on.

The thousands of cities and counties in CA have a gazillion (stupid and out of date) laws on drones (and model aircraft) that only a resident has the time to peruse. Obey the Federal rules, dont hang around, and all will be fine.
