Gimbal vibration error, vibration is very noticable.

What have you tried so far?

IMU recalibration and DJI Assistant calibration and update to latest firmware. Physical inspection revealed damage to the Gimbal, see picture. Can this damage be repaired at home? Could the arm be pried back a little bit to allow the gimbal to operate freely?


What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)?

IPAD Mini

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)?

Latest as of 10/14/2018

What Go app version are you using?

Check with @Thunderdrones. He can tell you if it can be repaired or if you need to replace the gimbal assembly,

That seems to be just the little plastic cover that is damaged, you can be a new one for a few cent. Cannot see if the ribbon cable is damaged

OP that part in the picture is soft plastic. You can pry it back into place.

Vibrates noticably to the touch on the ground... obvious vibrations showing through on the imagery.

A YouTube video would help. Without any visual evidence, I would say that your motor assembly might be damaged.

It's possible, but without video, its hard to tell. The gimbal motors are strong enough to snap that piece off if it is interfering with the movement.

It is not a misaligned case, after looking at a few forums, that is the first thing that I checked.

Looks like a damaged gimbal motor assembly.

I had the same damage

Send it to a Master (Thunderdrone) to look it over
Might have more going then a novice can see when it gets opened.
Rob (thunderdrone) is a skilled tech quick and very reasonable and has a solid reputation
