Canadian Tire MA2 Case

I just picked this up at Canadian Tire. They were 50% off last week, 75 CAD (about 50 USD). The sale ended today though. They are waterproof and lockable. There is egg carton style foam top and bottom with two pickable foam layers in between. I was able to fit my entire Fly More Bundle in it plus my tablet holder. Had I been more careful I could have fit my cell phone, but I’m happy for the price.

Naw, man...the foam is perforated in cm cubes and you can pull it away fairly easily.

Watch...they go on sale a lot. I drove 80 km. I ordered a Plano off amazon.ca two weeks ago but it’s still not here, so it’s going back as soon as it arrives.

What are the approx dimensions of that case mate?..I’ve found something close to that from the UK (with idiot resistant foam) for a very reasonable price.

Edit: upon closer inspection it’s identical to your one, delivered for £52 (about $85 Canadian)

Actually they have it on Amazon UK for £49, even cheaper.

Yes. In my op I mentioned the sale has ended. But they do go on sale for 50-75% off fairly often.

I use a similar case from Harbor Freight here in the states. Now that you have the foam cut out the way you want, spray the foam with Plastic Dip and it will bond the squares together and they will not fall apart with use. It works great.

Thats my plan. I may glue a few pieces back on and change a thing or two first. My Luefke pad holder doesn’t work very well so that’s wasted space. Need to figure out that issue and customize the case accordingly.

I had a case I bought at Sam's club years ago for $20 that is great. They are now being sold at Harbor Freight under the Apache brand. They are a great case for the money, very solid and lockable and waterproof. They have several sizes. I am in the process of updating the foam inserts with custom walls that I am gluing foam to, the "pick a part" junk never lasts long. I am using my 3D printer to make the custom walls / liner. Half is done now, other half should be done tonight I think.
