does 4K dongle use lower internet data if i fly in 1080 video settings vs 4K?

Unlikely to be significant because the selected video recording quality setting is being recorded directly to the drone microSD card, while the FPV video display setting on the device, which is transmitted by the 4G dongle to it, is not user configurable. However, try it and see! Note: turning off video cache won't help because that comes from the FPV video display, after it has already been received.

Best bet is getting two accounts of that data-only cellular connection so you have two SIM cards, one for the dongle in the drone and the second for the dongle in the RC2.

Could you please tell us how you fit a sim card and dongle in the RC2?

You can't fit it inside, but you may be able connect the dongle through the USB C connector under the plastic cover at the front.

not to heat up the discussion if DJI will sent flight data to China - but is my understanding correct that in case of a connection lost (normal RC connection), all of your flight telemetry will be sent from the Air 3 via mobile network to DJI severs and then back to your controller? And stick input from the controller to DJI server and from there via mobile network to the Air 3?

I think 4g enhanced connection just go through your own network. No chinese networks, in my opinion

Just found this on the support website from DJI:

"The enhanced transmission requires a relay server to facilitate low-latency 4G video transmission coupled forwarding, the subscription fee covers the cost of renting servers and cloud services."

Or to put in other words: all our video feed, control commands will likely travel through DJI's relay servers
