Cyberlink ColorDirector 8- limitations for drone videos

I am a user of PowerDirector and PhotoDirector from Cyberlink... I wanted to start using ColorDirector 8 in post production for color enhancements. effects and whatnot... but it has its limitations.

Just sharing this for the masses in case there are others that found issues importing files into ColorDirecter and getting the 'File Not Supported' error.

ColorDirector 8 Limitations:

• 10/8.1/8/7 or hardware platforms offering independent H.264 encoding
• Does not support 2K/4K resolution H.264 video
• Importing and producing H.265 video files is not available

I was shooting MP4's in 4K/30fps and H.265 and they work fine in PowerDirector, but when I tried to edit in ColorDirector, they are NOT supported.

I have since reduced down to 1080P/30fps and thing are working well. Not sure I like going 1080P yet as this is just a 30 trial version that Im playing with before I purchase.
