Sir, I salute your ingenuity, but the only good thing that I can say is that next to these, the DJI Goggles look positively svelte.

.
Svelte. = £500 UK pounds
My DIY = £0 Uk pounds
:)

You get what you pay for (or don't pay for)

If portability, looks and comfort are not important to you, you're still going to lose a lot of functionality

Your Ipad Air 2 has a value doesn't it? (even if you already owned it)... I don't see that in your costs (needs to be).

I don't mean to be a d*ck. It's just I am in love with my goggles

Assuming one had all those items you built your goggles with already- It's a great way to save money. Just so you know- you will lose some functionality, portability, and possibly comfort... BUT you're going to save a sh#t load of money. I do believe you did a great job with what you had.

Great alternative for those non haters.
I bought Litchi and a pair of blitz wolf goggles for $20. Work ok but I am looking at the DJI goggles now as I do want the control functions and piece of mind that it won’t disconnect as it has in past.
Great job.
