DJI announcing Flysafe-AirSense (ADS-B) What do you guys think?

As a side note , im in the uk and this isnt something we get, does anyone know if we are likey to get it in the future?

It's been mooted as a future aspiration of the CAA to integrate drone telemetry with ADS-B transponders, but they acknowledge that the technology simply isn't there yet and they have no idea what it will look like or how it will work. I suspect the driver for this will be larger BVLOS drones operated by delivery companies first, then trickle down into the consumer market later, but timescales are likely to be at least several years - if at all.

Shutterup, the UK does ADS-B more thoroughly than the USA because less aircraft in the USA are ADS-B equipped,; check out Flightradar24. Because ADS-B provides altitude information it would be very easy to filter out all aircraft above a drone’s height envelope, I hope they’re doing that. You can easily filter out altitude bands in Flightradar24 already. This would mean you’d only get a notification if a helicopter or light aircraft was coming your way, which would be useful. The helicopter would probably quite like to know you are there as well, and because FR24 can filter aircraft types as well the drone wouldn’t crowd out the map unless you turned on ‘drones’.
