DJI Mini 5 Pro in Amazon. Is this legit?

I saw that the other night, too! Only the title is accurate. The $1998 price is the only M5P Plus Fly More Combo on the Amazon Marketplace. The $1159 price at which I ended up with, for my two, was fleeting!

Amazon is definitely doubling down on their mistakes. If one places an order, 1000% chance that no Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo will be received. If anything, one will receive a grossly overpriced Mini 5 Pro Plus Combo!

Now everything matches except the price!

Too bad it wasn’t Prime. I would’ve taken a chance on a few of them if it was Prime. Emporium brands has since increased the price to over $7k. Definitely not a trustworthy company.

Needs to be Prime and delivered within 48 hours, which means Amazon already has it in stock for immediate delivery, and so you'll know within 48 hours if you were scammed.

Good info, and thankfully I’ve got the Amazon scam thing down pretty good with all that we’ve bought on Amazon over the last few decades. We bought several Mini 5 Pros FlyMore Plus Combos Prime 2 Day delivery ($1,159 from MUQQ Store) after buying a buying a couple from the 102Store on ebay, and both places were great experiences. Currently dealing with Dooroomi Trade (South Korea) for a few Mavic Pro Creator Combos, with the first shipment hopefully arriving tomorrow.

As long as it being sold as Prime and fulfilled by Amazon with delivery within 48 hours, it shouldn’t matter who the actual seller is and how sleazy they are under the normal A to Z Guarantee, as Amazon fulfilling the delivery as Prime means Amazon LLC is policing the transaction, and the worthless A to Z Guarantee does not come into play. On eBay, it absolutely makes a difference on who the seller is.

For any item I buy, I always check on the “Compare New” under “Other Sellers” to look at the list of sellers and also click “See More” to see who the item is “Sold by” and where the item “Ships from” so I can compare the feedback of the sellers to make a better decision. It will also tell you if the item is Prime or not.

You’ll sometimes see a list of sellers with many selling at the same price, but not all will be prime and not all will have the same feedback, so it’s usually best to choose the prime seller with the best feedback on the product you’re interested in at the lowest price. Sure, you’re covered by the Prime guarantee, but I’ve also had prime items delivered that were obviously used or the wrong items and end up being screwed because the item was sold out by all the sellers once I received it, so it could only be returned and not replaced. That’s why it’s best to also look at the feedback of the sellers and choose wisely among the prime sellers.

Looks like someone returned the Plus combo and Amazon has it for sale at the "low price" many of us are seeking. However, what are the chances this drone was returned because it wasn't working properly (see the Amazon description assigned to this condition). Or maybe the return box is full of rocks or at a minimum, the buyer swapped out the new controller for his broken controller or claimed the batteries that an ordinary buyer would never know he doesn't have Plus batteries other than he's only getting 20 minutes of flight. I would buy it but never mind, I'll keep waiting for a new unsealed box at this price.

Since Amazon is handling the fulfillment, it'll be easy to return if you don't receive the product in the listing. But that's very unlikely, as it's stocked in an Amazon warehouse and recent reviews confirm that buyers received the advertised item. Furthermore, this seller has lots of DJI products for sale.



They also have the RC-N3 package available at a great price.

Unless you already have RC-2, I believe people are likely waiting to pay $150 extra and get this package with RC-2 instead of N-3. These prices change daily and with BF coming up, you can go with the return route or you can wait.

And those Amazon delivery trucks you see driving around neighborhoods aren't actually owned or operated by Amazon. They're run by independent companies called DSPs (Delivery Service Partners). So if most of your packages arrive through USPS, that might mean there aren't many DSPs operating in your area.

Can't comment on the DSPs, but I can confirm that some, at least, are operated by Amazon directly... My son was hired by Amazon to drive one, and he worked out of an Amazon warehouse facility in San Jose, CA.

Believe what you want, but the fact is that broadcasting RID lets anyone with a Dronetag RIDER within 2 miles know your exact location throughout the flight and exactly which drone you are flying!

It is a fact that RID enables anyone who wants to to find a remote pilot.

It is also a fact that, in 5 years of RID transmissions, such incidents are near non-existent. Apparently very very few people care to bother, and worrying about it is tin-foil hat paranoid.

Similar to constantly worrying that a license plate on your car presents a threat from others finding out who's driving your car. No one cares other than paranoid drone pilots.

The ROI for a car burglar or car smash and grab opportunist is exceedingly high.
One Dronetag RIDER mounted on top of a roving car can immediately detect all Mavic 4 Pro pilots within several miles and target only the high value drones. RIDER cost is $1200. Each Mavic 4 Pro kit burgled is $2,500-$5,000. This could also be any more expensive Enterprise drone like a Matrice 4T or 4E or 30T, or Mavic 3T. Only need to find and snag one or two a day. RIDER has also only been available for less than 6 months. Give it time.
