DJI Mini 5 Pro question

FWIW, I don't think what they are doing is legal, so past experiences aren't guaranteed to play out the same way in the future. However, sellers have been misrepresenting products when shipping internationally for a long time.

With that said, I do think you'll receive whatever you buy. Just keep in mind that you might get hit with unexpected import fees that could wipe out the savings you were expecting.

I haven't seen anyone mention that happening yet, so the chances are likely very slim, especially if you place your order sooner rather than later.
You make a point which is why folks are concerned about ebay sellers overseas and ebay sellers in general but at least the 102_store has a very solid track record and has been trustworthy to numerous people. There is nothing illegal about buying from overseas like this if the dealer itself is honest but it IS important for people to understand that these drones come only with a manufacturers warranty AND it has to be executed from within the country it is bought. That means in order to get warranty work done you have to return it to the seller and have them intervene which I know has happened in the past for some people but I sure don't count on it. With that in mind, I have State Farm insurance on my newer drones.

The drone I purchased from a South Korean seller identified it as exactly what it was on the customs declaration.

Right, I'm agreeing the track record has been fantastic, but also there are no guarantees for future purchases.

Some Korean sellers (102_store included I believe) are mispresenting packages. For example, this post shows a Mavic 4 Pro was declared as a Milwaukee Cordless Drill.

Also, note this fine print at the very bottom of the 102_store listings on eBay:

Customs

1. Custom Tax

According to Ebay Policy, Custom tax/ Duty/VAT are under Buyer’s responsibility.

If your local customs charge for the customs tax/ Duty /VAT/ Brokerage Fees/ Handling Fees,

The buyer will have to pay for it.

So before purchasing, please check the tax rate with your local custom .

I also try my best to reduce the tax or duty according to your request.

-Mini5Pro Combo delivered 9/25
-RC Pro 2 delivered 9/29
-Flight Battery Plus delivered 10/9
Each was a separate order from Korean 102_store on eBay, and each arrived in less than 7 days
No additional charges from FedEx.

PAW- would you mind clarifying your purchase? Was the controller a RC2, or RC Pro 2. I have an RC Pro for my M3.
Ah yes. The Department of Redundancy Department. I've got one of those in my head too 😁
Yes- I would say your comment was redundant. Redundancy got me through college and med school. Don't we just love these little word games?

By the way, in re: the RC Pro in my above question, it has not yet been answered. Does there exist an RC 2 Pro or is it just the RC Pro? For my Mavic 3, I am using the more costly Black (not grey) RC Pro. I ask, because I think the RC pro that comes with the whole fly more pkg for the Mavic Mini 5 Pro is the grey one. Before I go ahead and order from the Korean sellers 102_store I want to be sure to order the one with the screen.

There are a lot of us in the same boat- waiting to order the Mini 5 Pro and sell our Mini 4 Pro but not being able to order on the usual sites and worrying about these third party South Korean sellers. I wish we could get some educated guidance from those on the forum who have experience with these sellers. I would gladly send my money to a South Korean company if I was reassured by those here who have already purchased from them and can reasssure us.

Understandable, it's not easy to simply put your credit card into the website and keep your fingers crossed for something like a drone from Korea to drop on your front door. Many years ago, this was unheard of outside the bigger retailers so it's fairly new to many. I wouldn't exactly say I am now comfortable with it but I've recognized it as an industry that evolved based on demand rather than the traditional "there are sellers in Korea trying to sell stuff to Americans, please buy Korean." We asked for this and they came thru with flying colors not only with stock and availability but also with reasonable pricing considering. Luckily a few took the leap and took their chances, the risk was high but it seems to be working out tremendously. Unfortunately I can't say the same after Dec 23 when the "unknown" once again triggers a new round of uncertainty which is the number one enemy of free trade. Government regulations are always a problem. We can only hope the industry will evolve and adapt and we don't have a repeat of the dark and dismal situation we experienced about a year ago and the beginning of 2025.

I'm sure that was an honest mistake; probably translation. :)
Just like the NEO 2 I recently received, I mean...it does have a camera. ;)
