Hmmm, I knew about the DJI sim, but not the full package as shown in the link.
Obviously the extra training modules you pay for might be worth it IF you intend using one of the Enterprise drones, or the advanced training is of benefit, and certainly with the SAR and / or powerline training if you are to use it in either of those fields.
Being able to know exactly what to do / push, and having that pre mission stick / button control 'down pat' for recording powerline vision / data (for example) would be a huge benefit and make it a much safer transition.
It all comes down to what your intended field is.
I'd say for MOST commercial pilots in the beginning, even the free version is probably going to give you some grounding in the basics, but when going into more specialised areas, confined spaces in atti mode, recording thermal info, flying close to infrastructure etc, in good and less than ideal conditions, you can do all this in the sim to get so used to doing it repeatedly without so much learning curve in the real world situation.
