Just a few days ago my brother managed to fly his spark in windless conditions at 100km/h! He basically forced it into ATTI mode, put it in sport mode, and let it rip! Crazy!😆

Sorry, Your Brother has quite the imagination or cant judge speed so well.
The max for a Spark in windless conditions is 50 KPH.
My DJI FPV with Gemfan props will do over 100 kph.

I'll show you a screenshot of the flight record. I was there also. At that speed it kind of went into a shallow dive.

He hacked it and managed to put it into ATTI mode, which allowed it to go that fast.

here is the record:

The actual flight data would be of interest to confirm whether this was an accurate speed or due to a GPS glitch at the time
Yes, it would be interesting to see. I'm waiting for my brother to send me the flight log file.

I have seen flight records that indicated a (false) high speed that was because of a tentative location recorded with poor GPS reception, followed shortly afterwards by an accurate GPS position.
The flight record showed a high speed flying from the false location to the correct location, when the drone hadn't even moved.

I saw it, and it was going well above 50km/h. I'll get him to do another flight soon, and I'll video it and show you. BTW, how did you get my flight records without me sharing them? I only shared the logbook.

I don´t know how is it possible. My spark had a top speed around 50 km/h. My only drone, that flies over 100km/h is the Avata2 in manual with 40 degree cam setting

The PID numbers are devised in a way that there is actually a 31mph speed limit on the spark. Its programed in..Even if it were not, The motors would not handle that speed. and besides the spark batteries won't output enough sustained voltage for the Drone to come close to 100KPH! Sorry but no matter what the telemetry says...... That spark only flew at a max of 50KM\H.

It seems that the OP had posted information from someone else (hearsay), not personal data. No supporting data was provided. It was supposedly in ATTI mode; doesn't that mean there would be no GPS data available for any positioning. Doesn't the drone use GPS positioning data and time to determine speed? So, without GPS how did the pilot determine speed? The only supporting data would be the flight light which the poster did not provide.

That posted image to support the claim can be from any DJI drone, there's no proof it came from a spark.

In addition to the suspicious speed, the max distance of 2.7km is also highly suspicious, given the spark uses wifi, even with the RC. I don't think I ever got mine more than a bit over 1000ft away flying with the RC.

There´s one more suspicious fact: I´m not sure, that the camera gimbal is able to handle that huge speed.

My brother doesn't own any other drone except for a spark, so it can't possibly be from another drone.

It kind of did go weird at that speed. Also it became almost uncontrollable and went into a shallow dive.

That's what I'm confused by- why did he get a speed reading in ATTI mode? However, all of my other drones also get speed readings in ATTI mode, so I guess that explains that. The GPS is on and can measure speed, but it has no control over the aircraft. (e.g. return to home or positioning)

Also I forgot to mention he watched the speed going smoothly up on the app interface while he was flying.
