Dng files fixed yet?

Has anyone found a way to fix the dng files(loading black) on iMac?(without buying a software program) I was considering getting a new laptop but didn't want to get Mac if I'm going to have the same issues.

I use RawTherapee on my 27" iMac to exit Mavic Raw pictures.
