I think if you live on a high floor of a building you normally don't expect people looking in so you don't close your curtains.

You should at night. I've lived in a tower, and some of the neighbours put on shows without realizing it… (I think that because they can't see anything outside at night, they don't realize that other people can see in.)

I stayed on the 5th floor of a condo and I didn't worry about keeping my curtains closed. Some of my girls did.
