Flight control issue

I have a DJI Mavic Air 2 which was a gift just this last Christmas. Has anyone had little to no response with lateral movement. I’ve switched flight control configurations and experience the same limitation with either flight control stick. I’ve rebooted my iPhone several time and deleted and reinstalled the DJI control APP. Also found that in the training portion of the software all controls function normally. Any idea for a fix would be greatly appreciated.

When my wife and I were learning to fly the Mavic Air 2, I disabled "fly sideways" mode in the joy stick calibration settings. There is no side ways obstacle avoidance on the MA2.
