Newby question. I have been flirting with buying a DJI Mavic drone for a couple years. The Geo restrictions is what has kept me from it, but a closer look and I am no longer certain of what the actual restrictions are. Simple question, if the Fly Safe App doesn't show a restriction where I am at, will it take off? I see various restrictions when I look at the Air Map App, but much less in the Fly Safe Geo Zone Map in the DJI app. This is a deal maker or breaker for me. For what I am needing to record, I don't need to be more than about 15' off the ground. Thanks for the help and I hope to be a Mavic user in the near future!

BUT the restrictions shown are not final! I've been flying in Sweden in the past three and a half weeks almost everyday. Had no NFZ warnings or so, just the normal altitude warnings showing up in closer proximity to Skavsta Airport. All fine so far, BUT areas like Naturreservats are not shown by Geofence and they are defintly NFZ in Sweden (and in many other countries as far as I know). TO identify them, I used the maps from Lantmäteriet on a 1:10.000 scale as provided free onlne.
So if you prepare for a flight, do not only rely on Geofence, be aware of other restrictions for the area you fly.

BTW, the maps from Landmäteriet are also great if you plan a hikingtour.

The DJI GEO zone map shows you zones where a DJI drone will not take off without unlocking the zone in DJI GO or on the DJI website (if you need to submit a request).

The Airmap map shows you zones where it's illegal to fly without authorization (from the FAA if in the US). If those zones are not within a DJI GEO zone, the drone will be allowed to illegally fly.
