Get some midge suits if you are going walk about lol or you may be drunk dry, they are blooming annoying even if not vampires.

So I've heard and we've been binge watching some Scottish TV where they are talking about them incessantly. Is there anything that keeps them away?

You'll be fine unless you're very unlucky - they are only just starting to hatch out in May, it's only the later part of the month you might get a problem.
