I'm about to start with my career in the architectural field. I'm not sure what configurations should the laptop have for the above-mentioned purpose. Is Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB RAM enough for running architectural software. Also, do I require a dedicated graphics card for it? I have shortlisted a few laptops, please give your reviews about them also if have some better suggestions do mention.

  • Dell Inspiron 7567

  • Acer Aspire T8TJG
Thank you

The laptop options you have given are okay for architectural work. Try buying a laptop with greater RAM capacity (not less than 8GB). And also, you do not require dedicated graphics for this. You can also refer here for good options

If you're just starting out, I'm sure your budget is tight. However, if you're planning to do much drafting/CAD etc on a laptop, either buy one with the biggest screen you have, or invest on a nice secondary monitor.

I'm a geologist, working from home, with a 15" laptop, and by itself it's just not enough screen space. i run another 17" monitor, and that's almost a necessity for me.
