Has anybody ordered the Mavic 4 from Ebay? Shipped from Korea.

Some of the Korean Ebay stores have/had 10% off today. K Wave had it at $3642 and DW Store at $3557.

Well, I caved and I bought the M4P CC, mostly due to this post where the 10% off from a prominent South Korean seller did it for me. I had some other eBay discounts and a few eBay gift cards so I pulled the trigger and today (4 days later) the FedEx package arrived. Final price for me OTD (tax included) was US$3768. I checked the serial number online at DJI.com and all is good.

The drone world is not getting any better, new tariffs might arrive on August 1st, prices in general are rising, lots of anti-drone activity on the legislative front at both the state and federal level, DJI is launching a few new models shortly with destination USA unknown (we may not even see the M5P), DJI Care refresh and related supplies dwindling or non-existent, and most importantly I am convinced the South Korean merchants have found a solid process to get M4P drones into the States with relative ease and no-hassle; a loophole that could close at any point.

After getting my package delivered plus the shipping details from the seller, I know more about how they are doing this and it's not going to last forever. Sorry about the pic but I intend to keep the M4P under wraps until I truly need it later. Plus I will have the option to sell it as New, right here in the Classified. Summer is almost over and I still have a fairly new M3P (the only thing that bugs me about it is the limited O3 range) and I fly FPV 75% of the time. So unless things really change, I hope to activate it next spring 2026 and hopefully by then, DJI Care Refresh will be restored (likely under a new scheme) and the promised M4P accessories will be available.

There is a particular reseller in the US stating that the drone will be opened, pre-activated (but not bound to a DJI account), and they will ship 2 additional batteries within a week or so - they said they do this for it to clear customs faster. Does this seem legit? Or should I just buy it a much cheaper price from a "reputable" seller in S. Korea where it will come factory sealed, with all parts, and un-activated?

My concerns about buying it from S. Korea is I have heard rumors that about the possibility of firmware updates being blocked, geo-fencing limitations, serial numbers being flagged, etc., if activated in the US. Is there any credence to this?

Just what you said, all rumors. Could they, possibly, but why? They have legit ones from DJI US Store sold on release day. It would alienate a solid customer base. They also know many are being sold through other channels and would hurt sales. I am more concerned about our own government regulating us out of the sky.

If you bought from K-Wave, the only Korean seller offering the 10%, did you get it before they went to pre-order? If you did it's Thursday morning in Korea and Monday would be very doable. While typing this FedEx was at my door.

I bought another one from S. Korea and it was delivered today. My intention was to have one as a backup, but my wife is gonna cut off my cahones for buying another one. So long story short, I gotta sell this one in order to keep the jewels. I really don't want to post it on eBay because their fees are too high, in my opinion, at 13.6% final value, and I'd probably end up losing money on it after it was all said and done. So I'm going to check prices for what others are charging for the creator combo in the US (around $4899 from the limited research so far) and list it similarly in the classifieds. Please reach out thru PM's if you're interested. It's still factory-sealed in the box.

The 15% becomes effective August 29.
South Korea is still 10% from now until then, but the US Customs tariffs are based off the country of ORIGIN (theoretically China for DJI) rather than the country from which it is shipped, such that a U.S. based origin should have no tariffs, regardless of when shipped from S. Korea. What a country, eh? LOL!

I'm on South Korean seller #3 after both K-Wave and Mido Shop both took orders with promised delivery dates that they then changed after placing the order. K-Wave claimed they sold out and my Pre-Order would now take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, instead of 10 days. Mido Shop is a complete fraud and she is a compulsive liar. She claims she needs 6 days to prepare shipment of an in stock item, and then needs another 2 weeks to deliver it via express to the U.S. I challenged her claim of actually having it in stock, and she assured me she had it in hand, and then promised to ship with a FedEx tracking number on Monday afternoon and email the tracking number and proof of the FedEx scan to me. A bogus tracking number for a fictional shipment with an unknown carrier was created for delivery to a Rincos sorting facility on Saturday that was never scanned by anyone. When I confronted her Tuesday about no FedEx tracking number on Monday, as promised over the weekend, she claimed I was pressuring her and that she was going to cancel my order, and not ship it because I was too impatient! LOL! She refused to explain the bogus claim of already having shipped via the bogus carrier over the weekend. Total scamster!

Now, South Korean seller #3 has accepted my order for "Last one" and then informed me that he was sold out, and waiting for restock by DJI some time in August. He cited the de minimus exception to tariffs and said would "help with the valuation" to keep it under $800. Told him that exception expires August 28, and it must therefore be received by me before then. He then assured me he will ship as soon as he receives it from DJI this month, and if he can't make that deadline, he will refund. Price was lowest yet, so I'm going to give him some rope to hang himself with and hope DJI restocks him soon, but not holding my breath.

So, 3 swings and a miss, but I'm not completely out yet! LOL!

Currently, the S. Korean sellers aren't shipping anything! They are all now claiming to be waiting 4-6 weeks for restock, but their order pages still promise delivery within 10 days! Like "Bait and Switch" much? LOL!

Ok it sounds like the South Koreans are stumbling (probably due to the much increased volume) and it looks like the Japanese sellers are on the rise since there are so many more new sellers from Japan but their prices are a bit higher.
