I had a mini 2 which was flying fine using iPhone or iPad and DJI RC. I had a bad crash and got a mini SE.
I searched the forum and web and cannot fine a solution or trouble shooting steps. Can someone give me a hand with this? I'm grounded until I can get the mini2 to pair.

@Nexus Dragoon : got this reply in gmail which did not show up in forum:
The DJI Mini 2 used a transmission system called OcuSync 2.0. The DJI Mini SE, however, was built using an older Enhanced Wi-Fi transmission system. Because these two systems "speak different languages," they cannot communicate with each other.
---
so is there anyway to fix?

What controller are you attempting to pair?

Unfortunately as far as I understand these are completely different controllers one uses Wi-Fi to connect to the drone and one uses a earlier version of what is currently being used, it is referred to as O2 newer drones are using what is called o4. to my knowledge currently there is no way for you to use the controller from one on another, but I will look into it and get back to you as I myself have never owned either of these drones that's just what I can gather from the specs.

And just so we don't get confused here you are talking about the se and not the se2 are you

The Mini SE is not really Occusync, as stated above its sort of a stripped down version that works with wi-fi.... This limits you too the "Included with the Drone" controllers, You will need the controller recommended above to Pair the drone.

yea, something like this.

1. The O4 / O4+ Generation (Latest)

The newest protocol with the best range and obstacle-sensing integration. Note that O4+ is the high-bitrate variant found on flagship models.

Mavic 4 ProO4+DJI RC Pro 2, DJI RC 2, RC-N3, RC-N2
Mini 5 ProO4+DJI RC Pro 2, DJI RC 2, RC-N3, RC-N2

Neo / Neo 2O4RC-N3, RC-N2, DJI RC 2, RC Motion 3
*Note: Using Motion Controllers on camera drones usually requires DJI Goggles 3/N3.

2. The O3 / O3+ Generation

Widely considered the "golden era" of DJI transmission. Very stable and still fully supported.

Mini 3 ProO3DJI RC, RC-N1, DJI RC Pro

3. The O2 (OcuSync 2.0) Generation

The standard for mid-range and budget drones. Reliable, but significantly less range than O3/O4.

Mini 3 (Standard)O2DJI RC, RC-N1
Mini 4KO2RC-N1
Mini 2 SEO2RC-N1
Mini 2O2RC-N1, DJI Smart Controller

4. The "SE" & Legacy WiFi

Crucial for buyers: Do not confuse the "Mini SE" with the "Mini 2 SE."

5. The OcuSync 1.0 Legacy

This system is largely retired now, and these drones generally won't work with any of the modern "RC-N" or "DJI RC" series controllers.

*Note: The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 actually used a unique version of OcuSync to allow for wireless Goggles connection,
