Hello to all
New to the forum and been flying maybe 1 month. I have a Mavic 2 Pro.
Got my pilot exam near Prague in two days, wish me luck.
I work on wind turbines as an industrial abseiler doing painting and blade repairs etc and looking to get into inspections of turbines and blades.
Thanks for the add to this huge site.
Fly safe everyone

Vítejte v Hauptmann, v přátelské obloze Texasu!

The M2P is a fabulous machine for the beginner and the pro alike. But your needs as a pro are different from those of a hobbyist. You need to develop a high degree of piloting skill. Practice, practice, practice until your stick movements become second nature to you, just as balance adjustments are while riding a bike. You need to be able to make subtle corrections without conscious thought--you just make them. You'll be flying close to stationary objects while doing, say, infrastructure surveillance, where a wrong move could cause a crash.

Be sure to read, reread and reread the manual! Practice using “Find My Drone”. Chances are you will crash, and perhaps lose your bird . Just be sure you know how to retrieve it. Time is money. A lost drone will cost you both time and money, and also perhaps a client.

Hodně štěstí s vaším novým úsilím. Jsem rád, že jste s námi!

Thanks again guys

Yes Hauptmann correct, totally fixed structures, hopefully anyways ))

Mastering the basic skills for now just to get through the FAA course, getting there slowly.
I am out 4 hrs a day practicing just now so hope to get through on the day, no pressure
Basically for turbine inspection it should pretty much be just up and down so I can make reports on the condition of the blades and turbines. ( On the lookout for n inspection reporting software at the moment)

Thanks again Thumbswayup
