Hi all. I understand that this solution may not be for everyone... BUT, I wanted to share a little batch file I cooked up that will quickly sort the multiple file types that our birds create during a shoot. Previously, I had been manually creating a folder for each file type. I found this to be tedious and creating about 2min of extra work. Of course that 2min can add up over time... and as they say, "Time is money."

Instructions:
Simply dump all your files from the MicroSD card into a folder of your choosing on your computer. I usually name my shoots with the following folder format: MM_DD_YY - AIRCRAFT & LOCATION.

Once in that location, you can place my script and "Open" and it will create subfolders for each file type and also MOVE the appropriate files to those subfolders for easy sorting and review.

File types included: JPG, DNG, MP4, LRF, SRT

You can find the file here: DDW_MoveFilesOrg.bat

Would love any feedback or ideas to enhance based on your workflow. Thanks!

This is great! I sort in a similar way, but I need a 'converted' folder and an 'edited' folder as well. I have to convert the .dng using Adobe DNG Converter, because I use an older version of lightroom. Then I need an 'edited' folder for the files after processing, for converting to a timelapse or hyperlapse.
