Good point.I’m not reading that it’s the pilot that died. Another piece of the puzzle that’s not clear, courtesy of the reporter not doing a good job.
Whatever the case, the younger brother will be blaming himself for his brother passing.
Accident do happen.
RIP.
*could it be the pole used , to be a metal pole that conducted the current?
not sure about this, my country's cable are all underground.
I think even a rubber pole would provide enough a juice from Lines like that.
Like "Old Man Mavic" I'm in UK and get the following message:-i am in the UK and unable to access the original article, but it is just another biased media report about a drone accident, with no thought for the fact that someone died as a result
We used poles for replacing fuses on High voltage overhead lines, I think they were made out of fiberglass.I think even a rubber pole would provide enough a juice from Lines like that.

Just as well. Aside from being poorly written generally, it also misstated UAS regulations. Just really bad journalism (even our area's "flagship" paper is very poorly written, which is why I refuse to pay for a subscription). I don't even know if the article was biased. I think the author just needed space to fill and rather than actually investigate he/she just did a copy and past from knowbeforeyoufly.org.i am in the UK and unable to access the original article, but it is just another biased media report about a drone accident, with no thought for the fact that someone died as a result
Same comment I made on PP - that's a really callous article focussing more on the airspace, the regulations and whether the drone was registered than the fact that someone was killed.
thanks to those posters who sent me the info yes thats the message i got as well
