Hello everyone,
I have an issue with regards to RC not connecting to my Mavic 2 pro. I was able to fly the drone probably less than 10 flights only but the last one just disconnects by itself and that's it. I never flew it for 2 years now trying to research on how to resolve the issue. Just recently DJI updated their DJI Assistant 2 and I was so excited as it might finally fix my drone but unfortunately, I got stuck with the message "The device connection is unstable. Please reconnect the device, then enter the firmware upgrade page to confirm the upgrade information "at 68% transmission of software. After the message, DJI Assistant 2 would not detect my drone anymore. I tried to open/close the software multiple times, tried to disconnect/reconnect my usb to type -c cables and tried to change USB slots in my computer but nothing worked. Now, I really got stuck. Did someone experienced the same issue here? Can you share how you resolve the issue. Thank you and advance. Appreciate you all.

I'm not sure why you posted in the Photo/Video showcase forum, but have moved it to the correct spot

Question. Are you using the original flat cable that came with the drone for the drone - computer connection? This sounds like part of the problem lies with the data cable connection.

I was able to get DJI Assistant going by changing to a different laptop. BUT.....

The calibration gets stuck at the very end when it says that it has all the data needed. I backed-off the firmware to the previous version and that did not help.

I waited about 10 minutes and nothing.

When you say "RC", do you mean the original controller that came with the bird (RC1A/1B)? or an integrated screen controller (Smart Controller)? Have you connected the controller to the computers USB port with Assistant 2 running? Does it recognise the RC1A/1B as a specific DJI device? (it should - use a standard USB to microUSB cable). If you do get the controller connected, try updating that to the latest firmware in the list.

With the firmware in the drone, it depends if you've managed to partially update the bird to the most recent version that supports U.S/European flavour RID, (did the drone shut down and then re-start?) if you have: the anti-rollback will now be set to 3, which means you won't be able to downgrade to firmware that is A/R 2 or below. You won't be able to do a 'factory reset' either.

Have you installed the latest version of the GO4 flight app since running the (unsuccessful) update process? if you're trying to do anything with the drone: a mismatch between an older app and newer firmware has already caused a great many problems, this might also be the case with trying to use the new Assistant 2 interface with a drone set on 2+ year old firmware. Try the older version of Assistant 2 again but use the original DJI flat cable supplied for this specific purpose.

The only other question that springs to mind is whether you had hacked the firmware before you laid the drone up for two years, then connected it to software that would recognise what was inside the drone as not being 'kosher'.
