I just bought the Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo. I’ve recorded internally in All-I (All-Intra). I can’t play it back on my MacBook Pro M4 Max — neither in DaVinci Resolve Studio nor in QuickTime. QuickTime just shows a black screen. VLC tries but it’s really choppy. Have I missed something here? DaVinci Resolve just says ‘Media Offline’. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution?

Yup... looks like you're SOL with a Mac at this point.

funny enough, a friend of mine with an un-updated mac running m1 could playback my h264 all-I but his mac with an updated ios cant.

It's working fine like it should on my old m1 equipped MacBook but same issue on my Mac Studio m2 Ultra chip. I found a workaround for that for now only for Davinci Resolve. Open DaVinci Resolve Preferences (keyboard shortcut: CMD + ,) > Decode options > uncheck "Decode H.265/H.264 using hardware acceleration and restart the app.
no solution for FCP so far and for premiere pro, it should work fine.

Thanks man, that did the trick for me. Not sure if there is a downfall to using this yet but at least my footage isn't showing as "off line" anymore lol.

FYI with the most recent Sequoia release 15.6.1, the All-I issues seem to be resolved. No longer any issues with 6k h264 all-i playback in finder, lightroom, photo mechanic, bridge, davinci etc on both M4 Pro and M2 Max.

YES THE UPDATE "Sequoia 15.6.1" FIXED THE PLAYBACK IN FINDER FOR ME - I AM RUNNING IT ON MAC STUDIO M2 ULTRA - ALL GOOD NOW FINALLY. THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE

If turning off hardware decoding is a successful workaround, then that sounds like it could be a video driver issue. I'm far more familiar with the Windows side. And if this issue was happening on Windows, I would say to go get updated video drivers. I assume Mac has a similar concept? I see earlier in the thread that updating to the latest OS resolves it for some folks. I would guess that's due to the new OS having newer drivers built-in. But if you can't do the update (for whatever reason), then you might want to pursue just updating video drivers, if that's an option.
