Mavic pro gimbal rust?

Is this rust on the gimbal? If so is there any way to clean it? I just replace it, i was getting a gimbal overload error (no crash).

Looks like alloy corrosion (pitting) but would need a close up to be sure.
You would have to strip and clean then maybe a minute smear of silicon grease.
Has to be done as it will only get worse.
