Mavic pro how to follow while skiing down

Hi. I'm going skiing in a couple of weeks and of course I want to get some amazing footage of me and my friends while skiing downhill with my mavic pro. However, I'm noticing a problem with the active track mode and all the skiing videos with the mavic pro on youtube. The mavic doesnt decend in active track mode while skiing downhill making the subject very far away and small. I want the mavic to decend with me down the hill.

How can I make the mavic do this? So far i've been practicing using the mavic to follow my car driving down a hill.

I want the mavic to decend with me down the hill.

The Mavic will not descend on its own. If you need to do this, you'll need someone else to man the remote controller while you ski.

If you ski uphill it will ascend while following you

Most ski pistes will not allow any drone flying for obvious reasons. Suppose every skier is taking his selfie drone down the piste. That would become a mess.
