Mavic Pro .mov files

Hi all. I'm new playing with drones. I took nice shots today but can't see the videos on my matchbook pro. When finally sit down to go over the footage, Quicktime doesn't allow me play the videos. Wont recognize file .mov. Is there any plug in / app to be installed first.?

Just google it! Macbook should play .mov files .
Go to VideoLAN.org/VLC and download the Mac OS X version of VLC. Open the .dmg file that drops into your Downloads folder. Drag the VLC icon into the Applications folder.

Very odd, .MOV is actually an Apple Quicktime container! Inside the container the video is encoded with AVC, audio with AAC (Advanced Video/Audio Coding), which should definitely be supported on a Mac. I'd try uninstalling/reinstalling Quicktime - really that is all you need, no add-ins/apps required.
