The wind was blowing against me. Meaning from the bay towards the shore. You can see it in the video which these images are taken. So naturally I didn't go far out over the water. I won't make the same mistake as I did at Jam Jerrup (the other post) where I came up against the ''invisible wall'' being the wind was too strong to return. IIRC that was up near 20m/s but that occurred after I had lifted off. To get those images at Jam Jerrup, I had to fly quite literally among the cattle on the ground in order to return somewhere close where I could land. The wind was that strong.W 12m/second !
How have you still got your Mini, lol [emoji51]
Nice photos !!
Only had to walk about 100m from where I took off, as it was the closest I could get. Where I took off, there was nothing acting as a wind break. So the moment I flew past the tree line, invisible wall and couldn't move any closer. Had no choice but to set her down on the path and just go fetch it.You passed the mini wind test then, that’s about the only way to bring in those lightweights.
That or just land (if over land, lol) and go recover on foot.
