No- this is not a drone film but I'd just like to submit it anyway.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31,2020, I noticed a full moon from my driveway! Since it was a fairly clear sky and very mild (about 65 degrees, or 18.3 Celsius), I decided to do a brief timelapse. I found an old music track to add (Connee Boswell recorded 1935). Google her for an interesting history.

Here it is. (full screen, sound). about 35 seconds with titles. The remainder is music only on a black screen.

Beautiful!
btw if you venture out to the new Hard Rock hotel for dinner, at their Counci Oak restaurant, ask for Alex.

Are you associated with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino? I have a story for you if you do!

Liked the 30 second video, great timelapse, and especially the old-timey audio. For the bonus 2 minutes after that, I suggest this song:

Very nice, I too am interested in your settings? Not sure if it was the 30th or 31st but the sky in Montreal was as clear as I’ve ever seen it. I took the dog out around 11:30 & the moon was beautiful but I could also see dozens of stars & planets, a rare sight for the city.

Dale, how long was your timelapse? Could you detail the settings you used?
Thanks!
Hello Rocky Mtns.:

I'd be more than happy to provide the specifications:

Nikon D750 (full frame sensor)
Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 lens set at f/4.5. (it would not go down to f/3.5 with my settings)
ISO 1600
timelapse interval 5.0 seconds
Really Right Stuff Tripod
3 sets of 800 exposures (total 2400 exposures) over a 2 hour time period
Timelapse processed with LRTimelapse5 and LRC Lightroom (Light Room Classic) 2020
Processed in Adobe Premiere Pro

I do have a faster lens (14-24mm f/1.4) but it is too wide of an angle to give any magnification of the moon.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
