my controller keeps disconnecting HELP

my mavic2 zoom keeps disconnecting from the drone ?
any thoughts, I thought it was because I did not load the last update. then I loaded the Current update and it still gives me the message controller disconnected. one time it returned to home. the last time it came to home and hovering at 6ft and I grabbed it while it was flying.
I am afraid to fly it anymore until I know why this keeps happening

It was very scary it happened 3 times in a row
The last time it reconnect while it was 6ft off the ground and the controller thought the drone was on the ground and not hovering
It was allowing me to take off ??? Even though it was flying ????

It might help people reply - what device cell/tablet brand? How connected - usb to side or bottom? Some folks have recommended airplane mode and bottom port as better for flying.

Try to rebind the controller and the M2Z.

Are you using the side port on the controller, or the USB on the bottom. I used a Samsung S8+ for several months until I recently upgraded, and never had any problems, but I was using the USB to the Samsung, not the side port which is a mini.
