In most countries this would be a crime "depravation of liberty" etc. She has as much right to ask you for your drone license as you have to ask her for her driver's license. She has zilch authority.

It's a shame that someone doing something perfectly legal has to think this way.Don't fly from public places or exposed areas, search a takeoff point that it's at least at 150m from everything, with a nice line of sight and once you take off send the drone and least 250m away from you so the noise don't lure karens to you.

great job handling the situation. i think those who are criticizing your reaction live in peaceful areas and aren’t exposed to situations where you can never be sure if the interaction will escalate despite de-escalation on your part.
Most of the time people simply ask and I'll give them all the info they want, show them my IG and explain why I'm flying in their neighborhood. To be fair it can be disconcerting to hear them buzzing around if you live there, so I just let them in on it all. But pin me in and confront, that's entirely different.
I agree but we must use a little common sense if you go to a place of interest and it's obvious the noise is going to annoy people choose a time of day when there may be less people about, I have said this before just because you legally can fly doesn't mean you should. It's a shame that someone doing something perfectly legal has to think this way.
Noise is not a factor unless you fly an FPV. When we get to the point our drones make zero noise, we are still going to have the same problems.I agree but we must use a little common sense if you go to a place of interest and it's obvious the noise is going to annoy people choose a time of day when there may be less people about, I have said this before just because you legally can fly doesn't mean you should.
Then simply ask, I always freely share both what I'm shooting and why I am there when they do. Nothing justifies rolling up on you, pinning your car in and coming out all masked up like that. I kept my head about me but you do that to the wrong person and you could get shot or something.I agree but we must use a little common sense if you go to a place of interest and it's obvious the noise is going to annoy people choose a time of day when there may be less people about, I have said this before just because you legally can fly doesn't mean you should.
I fly from my front yard all the time, for all to see. Nothing to hide and I've only ever had one minor problem from a neighborhood nanny...she was worried about her bats potentially being disturbed. Even tho they occasionally chase after the drone, I asked her kindly to have a chat with her bats, and ask them to please stop this annoying behavior. She looked at me puzzled and left. Other than her I've had zero complaintsIt's a shame that someone doing something perfectly legal has to think this way.
Lol. Living in the NYC teaches me that you can pretty much do anything and nobody will care (in NYC)I agree but we must use a little common sense if you go to a place of interest and it's obvious the noise is going to annoy people choose a time of day when there may be less people about, I have said this before just because you legally can fly doesn't mean you should.

What exactly is she going to submit?

Lies about exactly what happened: he refused to identify, he wouldn't show he had a permit probably because he didn't have one, he was flying over private property without permission, and anything else she thinks might be illegal. depends on what questions she is asked; she'll know how to answer them in a negative way. that's what they do. where you sacred? yes, I thought I was going to die. What exactly is she going to submit?
Look for the acronym there...That’s a good term, “neurological trauma”.
Well handled by you.
