Hello All,

Id like to replace the motors on a Mavic Zoom with KDE Direct motors.
Is that possible & what would be the consequences ?

Just a question.
Thank you in advance.

What are you hoping to achieve? You are unlikely to realise increased efficiency or performance. Any replacement motor will need to be closely matched in KV, n poles, winding inductance, delta vs star termination etc. Add the requirement to match or modify to mount to arms and attach props. The implementation by DJI of FOC timing and sinusoidal drive in the ESC also provides that for good performance drive parameters may need to be altered in the ESC if the replacement motor doesn’t have identical electrical parameters.

The people you need to speak to are the aftermarket motor supplier. If they don’t have a direct replacement it isn’t worth considering.

Was just asking. I'm not looking to do anything, but really like the KDE Direct Motors. I do know they make replacement motors for the Phantom.
