Noobie/idiot question

Hi folks. When I try and turn my Mavic Mini off, it keeps making loads of beeping noise, flashes green and red, and won't switch off until I remove the battery. What am I doing wrong?

you need to give a quick press followed by a long hold of the battery button under the drone until it turns off it takes a bit of getting used to

Its not a silly question, I initially had the same problem, it turns out it’s all in the timing as @old man mavic says, quick press and again and hold while the lights power downwards....

I got lots of moaning from the family at all the bleeps while I worked that out !
