19dbi panel set up I built, and also a smaller more portable 14dbi antenna set up

Nice Rig!

FYI - We found on the M2 you will get more range with the 8W amp. And you can lighten your load and go to one antenna and one amp. There is zero benefit with the dual setup at distance.

Thanks! I use the smaller one for the spark to be honest, just waiting for the pigtails to mod the m2 remote and I’m away. I’ll take a look at those amps, thanks for the recommendation

I have tried several different set ups including 19db antennas and I have found for the area I fly in which is mostly suburban/residential the 14db MaxRannge antenna boosted by Titan Drones Atlas work best for me.

Thanks, that’s nothing compared to Beanbubba’s arsenal of equipment. He is a radio guru.
I tried using 10x10 degree panel antennas but is becomes very difficult to keep them aimed at your bird precisely. I have found 30x30 degree panel antennas the best bang for the buck and plenty strong for what we do.

BTW - yours is the second best arsenal I have yet seen

Since we are playing show-n-tell, I found this car mounting system (RAM Mounts) that you can custom order with dozens of different options to fit any project you need vehicle mounted:

I maybe lazy, but prefer flying from inside the car during the hot and cold months and place the panel antenna on the car roof

made a run this morning scared the **** out of me but it did return take a minute r 2. @beanbubba "I am submitting this MODIFIED CLASS flight for consideration to be placed on the leader board it was hs8000
FYI - on this record modified class run by Aumoe, the airdata output says he flew 4 feet less on the return leg which resulted in a fraction of a negative SIP number (probably due to normal GPS errors). If this happens again to any pilot, I am recording the SIP at a perfect 0% from this day forward.

And congrats to Aumoe for setting a new and permanent SIP record (0%) for flying a perfect straight line out and back on this flight!

it works with these settings for me. I changed the Esmart value to 0 made it not work . It's at 2 now

I’m wondering what parameter might cause this out of this list, I swapped a few to the same as what you’ve done. I notice a red battery warning that’ll come on at 45% (I think) even tho I’m set at 10%, which will then give cause the led lights to flash red, I’m only thinking to try and change this one back just to try and save on power but can’t work out which one will cause this? Any ideas?

Yes I was testing this morning I rest all to original but the RC SQUARE an RC SWITCH I believe I had to set at 1 manually an every thing worked fine

That HS8000 is the best mWh per gram I have ever seen other than an extricated M2 cell.

Where is the best place to buy them?

I usually buy mine from Amazon just in case there’s an issue with the battery I can return it easily. But if you plan to purchasing it today I would buy it from RCjuice because there have a 15% sale.

I am thinking this will be the best jettison battery in the unlimited class. Leave the factory cell powered off until the drop. Probably drop somewhere near the turn guessing around 70,000 feet. This will be fun to figure out, I haven't done the math yet, but this is probably in the ballpark.

Did a run to 55k to check new antenna works great is less forgiving on direction but if you keep it straight it’s money 4275C519-BABF-4060-8B42-3B30D865C637.png
