I bought a drone on ebay from a company in South Korea. It arrived in Memphis today and under the tracking info it says International Shipment Released-Import. It's scheduled for deliver with Fed Ex tomorrow. Does that mean there's no tariffs on this shipment and its cleared customs for delivery or does it mean it released and there could possible be a tariff to be collected by the Fed Ex driver on delivery? I'm really confused about these tariffs. Thanks guys!

Most likely no tariffs, but the only way to know for sure is that FedEx delivers it without asking you to pay any tariffs they may possibly have already paid on your behalf.

That simply means it cleared customs and its OK to deliver, It doesnt mean that the fees are paid. Fed Ex could have paid the fees for you, and they will bill you. They do that to me all the time but mine are small things like I end up owing 3 bucks lol..
You may want to check to see if the seller paid any fees. but your package is on its way to you. maybe a bill too.

Yes it just means it cleared customs, if there is a duty you have to pay would depend on the vendor you bought it from. Some say they will pay the tariff fee, the final price you pay is it, others do not say that and say the buyer is responsible for all duties and tariffs. All the items I purchased from Korean vendors said they would cover the tariffs, have come through without any extra charge to me. I decided to try a vendor in Japan, that said if there was any duty it was on me to pay for it. I bought an extra battery for my Mini 5 for a low enough price that if I was charged a fee in duty it would not be a large amount. Got the battery in two days a few weeks back and today I got the bill from Fedex for the tariff/duty. Since it was listed as made in Japan, I was charged 15% plus a handling charge from Fedex for $5. It still was cheaper by a little than having bought it from a dealer that took care of the tariff up front

Has anyone been billed for tariffs on a drone purchased from South Korea? There are a wealth of maybes, what ifs, and mights, but have there been any actual tariffs billed to the end customer?

Since the loss of the $800 exemption I do not think it matters what country you order from, if the vendor says they will pay the tariff, it seems like they do. If they say you are responsible, you will, just like I had to. The only difference in the tariff amount is the country of origin that is listed in the shipping doc. I was charged 15% because it listed the country of origin for the battery as Japan. It it had been China it would have been more. With my bill i received a copy of the customs declaration.
I did this order to see if even small things would be charged a duty, if the vendor said I was on my own to pay any tariff.

Not Korea, but from China, I received a supplemental FedEx tariff bill in the mail 10 days after delivery to me, for 55% tariffs, based upon the seller's declared value, even though the seller, Machinewhale, claimed he was paying all duties and tariffs. Fortunately, he declared the value at only $25 instead of the $167 I paid him for a DJI filter set for the Mavic 4 Pro, plus $30 for shipping. Bill was for $18. Had it been a $4,000 Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo, though…OUCH!

Each is a separate order and all from Korean 102_store on eBay
To date, no additional charges from FedEx
