After doing a normal install of DJI Assistant, I found that Win10 was not recognizing my MP as a valid USB device. Since DJI is using unsigned Android drivers, they were not successfully installed. Solution is to go to windows setting->Update & Security->Recovery and choose Advanced Startup. At the prompt during windows boot choose to do selective startup. option #7 is "disable signed driver verification". After that booted up, when I re-installed Assistant again, I received Prompts to confirm unsigned driver installation. Now Win10 can see my MPin Assistant. Hope this helps someone.

I've performed that task many times for other sorts of drivers.

Good info, however I didn't have any issues with it on my W10 laptop?
Could be security settings related.
I also had no issue installing on my Surface, but the Workstation was different and I needed the larger screen for the optical sensor calibration, which GO4 said I needed to do.
