I just got my Mavic mini. First ever drone. Had it a day now. Not flown yet as updating and yesterday was raining all day and looks like here in yorkshire the wind is getting up. I’m on lockdown due to virus and live on the edge of the city and really want a good day to learn and practise and would prefer a bit of space for safety.

Welcome to Mavic Pilots .
I hope you will find our site helpful and look forward to any input , photo's/video's you might post .
Don't be shy and ask anything if you can't find it by searching
and stay safe.. Thumbswayup

welcome to the forum ,a good idea while this weather is about, which apart from the lockdown, is no good for flying, is to use your time and study the PDF manual that you can download from the DJI site
also study the drone code and even take the CAA test ,its free and is done online knowledge is power ,you can never know everything even at my age, i learn new things on this forum all the time good luck happy flying

Welcome! As OMM said, use the time to go through the manual, YT videos, and of course within the forum to get info about flying a drone (and the MM specifically).

Yes, space is advised in especially in the very first flight! Its a learning curve but we have all been there; you ll be just fine!

Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :) Enjoy the forum!Thumbswayup

I am exactly the same bought a Mavic mini yesterday , potched about the house with people ducking their heads lol
My thinking was the mini was a good place to start price wise and it has not disappointed me at all . Can not wait for weather to break

Welcome to the world off drones pal I got the same one. I've made few mistakes with mine already by flying to far to close to roads etc but I've learned from my mistakes. Bit off advice find a nice big field and practice there until you get the hang off it then the fun begins, try not to fly in windy conditions as you could loose the drone as your only new, do you have youtube if so look me up fran duncan and subscribe to me and like and comment on drone video and ile subscribe back to you safe flying my friend
